Salem Health Foundation Fund

Heart disease is the No. 1 killer for men and women in the United States. The Salem Health Foundation recognizes the importance of keeping people’s hearts healthy in our community.

We help to provide important education and support for heart health, stroke prevention, and cardiac rehabilitation services.

In partnership with Salem Fire Department, the Foundation purchased 106 life-saving defibrillators. These have been dispersed throughout the community, ready to help. These devices triple the chance of survival of someone experiencing a heart attack.

Here are a few more programs we’ve funded:

  • Smoking cessation courses.
  • Blood pressure cuffs for patients to monitor their health at home.
  • Living Well with Heart Failure support materials for cardiac patients.
