Caring for Kids

Salem Health Foundation Fund

When children are admitted to the hospital, they often face procedures such as lab draws and IV starts that can be painful. These procedures are potentially traumatic, but pediatric nurses are experts trained to minimize fear and trauma in children.

The fund provides many services such as new parent support, education, supplies and initiatives. One example is the the car seat program which ensures each child is sent home safely.
